About iGaming Tools — Independent Slot Data
Table of Contents
Who we are
iGaming Tools (i-gaming.tools) is an independent data resource that documents online slots — their math, mechanics, paytables, and assets — captured directly from live provider demos through our own automated pipeline. Our tagline says it plainly: iGaming data, structured.
We are a small, independent team, and that is deliberate rather than something we hide: we are a hands-on, technically-driven project, not a content farm or a recycled review mill. Our credibility does not rest on a roster of bylines — it rests on the product. We built and operate a custom data-capture system that drives headless browsers against live demos, extracts structured metadata and full paytables, stores derivative assets, and exposes everything through a public REST API. The catalog is the proof of that expertise.
To be clear about what we are not: we are not a casino, not an operator, and not a betting service. We do not take bets, sell deposits, or run games for money. We document the games other people make.
Meet the team
We are a small, hands-on team. Our expertise is best read off the system itself — the capture pipeline, the dual-database data model, and the public API — rather than from job titles. Fuller profiles will follow on separate pages; here is who does what.
- Muhammad — Backend Engineer. Owns the Django / DRF service layer and the public REST API, including auth and rate limiting. He designed the data model spanning PostgreSQL (transactional) and ClickHouse (analytical), and the Celery task pipelines behind it. — [email protected]
- George — Data Engineer. Builds the multi-source ingestion layer — collectors, parsing, normalisation, deduplication, and data-quality checks — and the LLM-assisted extraction workflow that turns screenshots and unstructured source material into validated structured fields. — [email protected]
- Leo — DevOps / Infrastructure. Runs the deployment and hosting stack (Docker, Coolify on Hetzner, Cloudflare, TLS/DNS), CI/CD, monitoring and alerting, automated backups with restore testing, and infrastructure hardening. — [email protected]
- Olivia — Content & Social. Owns the publishing function — a multi-channel workflow on a self-hosted scheduler (Postiz) that distributes tailored content to X, Telegram, and Bluesky — and partner-facing communication. — [email protected]
What we document
We favour depth over headline breadth. The catalog currently holds 600+ slots and is growing, built outward from deep, high-quality coverage of selected providers rather than thin entries scraped across everything. We do not claim to cover "every slot" or "every provider" — that would be false. What we do claim is that each documented slot is recorded in unusual detail.
Per slot we capture 45+ structured fields plus rich child data:
- Identity: provider/brand, studio (tracked separately from brand), series, licensed IP (e.g. Narcos, Vikings), themes, and game features drawn from ~23 base mechanics (hold & spin, expanding wilds, and more), with release date and its precision.
- Math & mechanics: RTP (default plus up to 30 variants — bonus-buy, ante-bet, feature, and operator-configurable values), volatility on a 6-point scale, max win (× stake), reels × rows, bet mechanic (lines / ways / cluster / Megaways) with its value, min/max bet, ante-bet cost, and payline direction.
- Bonus & jackpot: bonus-buy availability, cost (× stake) and variants; jackpot type (fixed / progressive / pooled) with named tiers (Grand / Major / Minor).
- Paytable: the full symbol set (~13.7 symbols per slot on average), each with role (wild / scatter / high / low / bonus), hex colour, and per-symbol payouts.
- Bonus rounds: free spins and bonus modes with descriptions, plus an extracted colour palette per game.
- Assets: ~21 screenshots per slot on average (logo, base game, paytable, rules, bonus-buy, free spins, win screen, and more), desktop and mobile, stored on Cloudflare R2 with WebP derivatives.
Two honesty rules govern this data. First, no field is inferred: if a value cannot be read directly from the paytable or demo, it is shown as "—" rather than guessed. Second, every record carries a captured_at timestamp, shown openly and never hidden, so you always know when the data was last seen.
Where the data comes from
The data is captured, not copied. Our automated pipeline runs in five stages:
- Demo discovery — from provider press rooms, demo pages, and embeds; not from aggregators or review sites.
- Live capture — each game is loaded in a headless browser and screenshotted.
- Symbol extraction — role, hex colour, and payouts are read from the paytable.
- Metadata extraction — the structured fields above are parsed.
- Freshness re-capture — games are re-checked on a rolling schedule.
The differentiator is the source: we record what the live demo actually shows, rather than rewriting a press release or paraphrasing another review site. The full process, including its limits, is documented on our methodology page.
What you can use for free
We did the capture; the data, assets, JSON, and palettes are free to use in your articles, sites, and design work.
- Free demo play, no signup — launch the real provider demo straight from the slot page.
- Downloadable asset kits — a ZIP of screenshots, symbol icons (WebP), and a
metadata.json/tech-info.json(Turnstile-gated). - Copy JSON / tech-info export — a slot's full structured data, copyable to clipboard.
- Colour palette — per-game extracted colours, each copyable as hex.
- Public REST API —
/api/v1/with Swagger docs, token auth, a free monthly quota plus paid packs, and cursor pagination. - Filterable catalogue — the screener at
/slot-games/with filters for theme, feature, volatility, mechanic, bonus-buy, jackpot, and max-win range, plus full-text search and CSV export.
Independence & disclosure
Our data is independent and captured from provider demos. Catalogue placement is not for sale — no provider or operator can pay to be documented, ranked, or have a field changed.
Some outbound links to operators are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up or play through them. We disclose this openly. What matters is the boundary we hold: affiliate relationships never affect the recorded facts, nor which slots we choose to document. The number is what the demo showed; the link arrangement does not touch it.
Responsible gaming
Online gambling is for adults only — 18+, or 21+ in some jurisdictions. Gambling carries real financial risk. Everything on this site is informational and intended for research, design, and reference; it is not an inducement to gamble, and a documented RTP or feature is a fact about a game, not a prediction of winnings.
If gambling stops being fun, help is available and confidential:
